To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport whether bidding fee auction websites must apply for a licence from the Gambling Commission in order to operate in the UK.
Bidding fee auction websites must only apply for a Gambling Commission licence if they are located in Great Britain and are providing facilities for gambling as defined under the Gambling Act 2005. The Gambling Commission has advised that is not normally the case.
