To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what steps she is taking to reduce sickness absence in her Department.

My Department has a sickness absence policy which provides a framework of procedures and behaviours to enable absence to be dealt with fairly and consistently by both managers and staff throughout the Department.
