To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what assessment she has made of the potential level of immigration to Northern Ireland from Bulgaria and Romania when transitional controls expire in January 2014.

I refer the hon. Member to my answer of 4 February 2013, Hansard, column 26W.

Rather than produce speculative forecasts, the Government's priority is to cut out abuse of free movement and address pull factors such as access to benefits and public services.

The Home Office is working closely with other Government Departments on these issues.
