To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills with reference to his answer of 15 September 2011, Official Report, column 1357W, on mobile phones, what further progress he has made towards a standard charger for mobile telephones.

We understand from the industry that the vast majority of new mobile phones being launched on to the market support the universal charging connector referred to in the answer given by my predecessor, my hon. Friend Mr Prisk, now Minister of State for Housing, on 15 September 2011, Hansard, column 1357W.
