To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many families in (a) England, (b) the West Midlands, (c) Dudley borough and (d) Dudley North constituency receive (i) carer's allowance and (ii) tax credits.

The following table shows the number of families receiving tax credits, and the number of claimants of carer's allowance; for the four specified regions.

The tax credit figures presented here will include a small number of out-of-work families for whom an amount equivalent to tax credits is provided through DWP benefits.
