To ask the Secretary of State for Health what progress he has made on the development and implementation of quality dashboards by the clinical reference groups on (a) neonatal critical care, (b) paediatric intensive care and (c) specialised maternity services; and if he will make a statement.

Quality dashboards have been produced for neonatal critical care and paediatric intensive care, but not specialised maternity services.

The quality dashboards are currently being piloted and an evaluation process to test the effectiveness of the dashboards is under way. An evaluation report will be provided to the NHS Commissioning Board in due course.
