To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what recent discussions he has had with the Mayor of London and Transport for London regarding construction of a bridge over the Thames at Gallions Reach.

Under devolution, any decision to construct a bridge at Gallions Reach would be for the Mayor and Transport for London (TfL), who would need to ensure funding was in place for such a scheme. DFT Ministers have had no recent discussions with the Mayor on this subject.
