To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will list the occasions on which his Department has met other Government Departments or outside bodies to discuss the Government's youth sport strategy to create a sporting habit for life; and if he will make a statement.

The Secretary of State for Education, my right hon. Friend Michael Gove, met the Minister of State for Sport and Tourism on 28 February 2012 to discuss the youth sport strategy. Since then officials from the Department for Education have had regular meetings with their counterparts in the Departments for Health and for Culture, Media and Sport to discuss a range of issues relating specifically to youth sport strategy.
