To ask Her Majesty's Government whether there are any proposals to assist Montserrat in the construction of its new capital.

Government of Montserrat are currently working on plans to improve port facilities and develop a new capital town for Montserrat. This is part of wider plans to stimulate economic development and encourage private sector investment in Montserrat.
DfID is working closely with the Government of Montserrat as they develop these plans.
