To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will give support to Durham Tees Valley airport's bid for round four regional growth fund funding.

Round 4 of the Regional Growth Fund was announced on 17 January. The fund is a competitive process and all bids are assessed against the set criteria to lever private sector investment to create economic growth and sustainable employment. Successful bids will be announced in the summer.

Any bid by Durham Tees Valley airport will be assessed along the lines set out.
