No direct assistance in the preparation of Private Members' Bills has been provided by the department during the previous and current Sessions. This is because no Private Members' Bills were tabled which fitted in with agreed policy of the department. The department does, however, endeavour to support Members whenever it can if their proposed Private Members' Bills fit in with departmental policy.
