To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether the East Midlands, West Midlands and East of England are grouped for the purposes of the Cancer Drugs Fund.
NHS East Midlands, NHS East of England and NHS West Midlands form the Midlands and East strategic health authority (SHA) cluster, with each remaining a statutory body within the cluster.
We understand that each SHA has retained its own regional clinically-led panel to make decisions on the use of the Cancer Drugs Fund.
SHA clinical panels are working collectively to promote improved access to cancer drugs.
