To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with his counterparts in (a) Pakistan and (b) other countries bordering Afghanistan on security in that country after the drawdown of allied forces.
In my discussions with Afghanistan's neighbours, including Pakistan, I have assured them of our long-term support to Afghanistan.
At the 2012 North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Summit and Tokyo Conference, the international community set out its long-term commitment to Afghanistan's security and development.
The region also has a crucial role to play and I welcome its efforts toward wide-ranging co-operation through the Istanbul Process.
