Justice written question – answered at on 27 November 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what targets his Department has for financial savings arising from the competition for management of the Hatfield-Lindholme-Moorland cluster of prisons.
A maximum price threshold for the competition for the Yorkshire cluster of prisons was set at the outset of the competition. This threshold represents a saving target of £104 million over 15 years, compared to current costs. This competition is still live and we expect to achieve savings of this magnitude at least.
