To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Statement by Baroness Warsi on 24 September (WS 72), what steps they are taking to ensure progress towards an Arms Trade Treaty.

The UK is co-authoring a resolution at the UN General Assembly First Committee, currently underway in New York, to set the timing and modalities for a further short conference in March 2013 to finalise work on the Arms Trade Treaty.

The UK will continue to lead international efforts to secure a robust and effective treaty that enjoys the support of the widest possible range of states.
