The Helmand provincial government have full responsibility for delivering public services, including vital infrastructure. The provincial government also co-ordinate all Afghan government departments operating in Helmand to ensure that the provision of infrastructure meets the needs of Helmandis.

The UK, with our Danish partners, supports local government in Helmand by providing financial and technical assistance. This includes support to the operation and maintenance of key infrastructure.
