To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what steps the Government is taking to support refugees in western Burma.

The UK has provided humanitarian support to refugees in western Burma through DFID's core contributions to the United Nations and the European Union. We have called on all sides—including through several ministerial statements—to end the violence in Rakhine State, grant full humanitarian access to affected areas and build a process of reconciliation among the communities.
