To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he has put in place to monitor implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

The Government's work is currently focused on finalising and launching the Government strategy on business and human rights which is, in effect, our interpretation in the UK context of the UN Guiding Principles on business and human rights. We are actively giving consideration to how to monitor implementation as we move forward and believe this an essential part of the process.
