To ask the Secretary of State for Justice pursuant to the answer to the hon. Member for Hastings and Rye (Amber Rudd) of 18 September 2012, Official Report, column 777, on departmental responsibilities, if he will set out the role to be played in his Department by the hon. Member for Bexleyheath and Crayford (Mr Evennett).

As I announced to the House on 18 September 2012, Hansard, column 777, I have agreed with the Chief Whip that, on occasions, when necessary, the Lord Commissioner of Her Majesty's Treasury, my hon. Friend Mr Evennett, will provide support to the team and the House.

My hon. Friend will assist other Ministry of Justice Ministers during debates in the House and will respond to other parliamentary business on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.
