International Development written question – answered on 5 September 2012.
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what steps her Department is taking to ensure that it meets the target of spending 0.7% of gross national income on overseas development assistance by 2013.
My Department's settlement with Her Majesty's Treasury, as adjusted in the 2011 autumn statement, is sufficient, along with Official Development Assistance (ODA) from other Government Departments and forecasts for non-delegated expenditure limit ODA, to meet the Government's commitment of spending 0.7% of gross national income as ODA in 2013.
