To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change whether his Department has made an estimate of the (a) cost and (b) time required for a business to comply with each piece of regulation for which it is responsible.

The cost and time required for a business to comply with new domestic regulation are calculated in line with the one-in, one-out methodology. The Government publish the Statement of New Regulation twice a year; this gives an overview of the net cost to business from new domestic regulation.
