The new Police ICT Company has been set up to deliver value for money and improve innovation. The company will provide strategic ICT advice and be responsible for the procurement, implementation and management of ICT solutions and associated business change.

The company will provide services that support forces and other customers in their drive for interoperability. It will seek to harness the purchasing power of the police service by aggregating the requirements of as many forces as possible. The company will support standardisation of equipment and procedures where forces have agreed that this will provide them with interoperability and cost savings.
