The Department is currently developing the overall strategy for the evaluation and monitoring of universal credit. No detailed plans are yet available. However, we are committed to monitoring the effects of the policy in aggregate and in terms of the outcomes for different groups of claimants, including families with disabled children. To understand the experiences and outcomes of claimants, the Department will employ a wide range of different research methods, survey techniques and sources including evidence from regular surveys.
