To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport what the lowest hourly rate is paid to staff by his Department; how many members of staff based outside London are paid less than £7.20 per hour; and how many members of staff based in London are paid less than £8.30 per hour.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) does not pay its employees at an hourly rate. DCMS's lowest annual salary rate is £19,836 per annum, which equates to more than £8.30 per hour. All DCMS employees are based in London, except for eight individuals based in the regions, working in connection with the Olympic Games. All of these individuals earn over £7.20 per hour.
