To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what arrangements his Department has put in place to monitor the effectiveness of UK aid to the Palestinian Authority and the UN Relief and Works Agency.

Our agreements with the PA and UNRWA specify a number of results milestones against which progress is reviewed annually. This is designed to improve effectiveness and value for money. This year, UK aid will provide primary education for 36,000 children and cash transfers for 200,000 people.
