To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what steps his Department is taking to tackle diarrhoeal disease in developing countries.

In April we doubled our commitment on water, sanitation and hygiene to provide 60 million people with services that prevent diarrhoeal disease. Through the GAVI Alliance we are vaccinating 50 million children against rotavirus, which is the most common cause of severe diarrhoea.
