To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what discussions he has had with the Secretaries of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and for Defence on the implications for his Department of the UN arms trade treaty.

All Departments across Whitehall are united in wanting to see an effective arms trade treaty. Negotiations are taking place this month in New York. The UK will do its utmost to secure a successful outcome.
