To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many meetings she has had with ministerial colleagues to discuss poverty in Wales since May 2010.

Both I and the Under-Secretary of State have regular meetings with ministerial colleagues about a range of matters relevant to Wales.

In March, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, my right hon. Friend Mr Duncan Smith, published “Social Justice: Transforming Lives”. Together with the Social Mobility and Child Poverty strategies, it sets out an ambitious approach, aspiring to deliver lasting life change which goes much wider than increases in family income. The strategy is available at the following link:

The Welsh Government are responsible for many of the policies involved in tackling poverty. We will work closely with the Welsh Government in delivering our ambitions.
