To ask Her Majesty's Government what was the total number of staff employed within the private offices of ministers and the permanent secretary at the Home Office on 1 June; and how many of them were (1) under the age of 21, (2) apprentices under the age of 21, and (3) apprentices over the age of 21.

There were 60.89 full-time equivalent paid civil servants employed within Private Office in the Home Office as at 31 May 2012. Of these none was under the age of 21 and none was an apprentice.
