To ask Her Majesty's Government what was the total number of staff employed within the private offices of ministers and the permanent secretary at the Department for Communities and Local Government on 1 June; and how many of them were (1) under the age of 21, (2) apprentices under the age of 21, and (3) apprentices over the age of 21.

On 1 June the Department for Communities and Local Government employed a total of 30 people within the private offices of ministers and the permanent secretary.

In addition, two members of staff from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills were employed in the private office of the Minister for Decentralisation and Cities, reflecting his responsibilities as a joint DCLG/BIS Minister.

Of these, none was under 21, and none was an apprentice.
