To ask the Secretary of State for Education how much has been paid out in lump sum payments to members of the Teachers' Pension Scheme in each year since 2000.

The information requested on lump sums has been included in the following table. The figures have been taken from the Teachers' Pension Scheme (England and Wales) Annual Accounts, adjusted to exclude death grants paid out.
