Managing workloads at depots to deliver the train service is the responsibility of the train operating companies. The Department is currently consulting on the train service specification for the new Thameslink franchise. The existing Hornsey depot will continue to be required to maintain non-Thameslink mainline and other Great Northern commuter and suburban services following the introduction of the Thameslink contract.
