To ask Her Majesty's Government how many apprentices (1) under the age of 21, and (2) over the age of 21, were employed within the Ministry of Defence on 1 June, excluding agencies and non-departmental public bodies.

As at 1 June 2012 there were some 103 civilian apprentices under the age of 21 and some 127 over 21 employed within the Ministry of Defence. This excludes the large number of service personnel who are undertaking apprenticeships as part of their training.
