To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what recent estimate he has made of the number of people who will cease receiving contributory employment and support allowance as a result of the introduction of a one-year time limit in the next 12 months.

The impact assessment for time limiting of contributory employment and support allowance (ESA) for claimants in the Work Related Activity Group is available at:

Table 1 on page 7 provides an estimate of the numbers affected by ESA time limiting.
