To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what the cost was to his Department of the Armed Forces Pay Review Body in the latest period for which figures are available.

The cost to the Ministry of Defence of the Armed Forces Pay Review Body (AFPRB) for financial year 2011-12 was £83,550. This represents the daily rates paid to members of the review body. Their travel and subsistence costs are borne by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, through the Office of Manpower Economics.
