To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what effect he expects the Welfare Reform Act 2012 will have on members of polygamous relationships claiming benefits.

In universal credit any claim made by a member of a polygamous marriage who was not a party to the earliest marriage in the polygamous marriage, will be treated as a single person claimant.
