To ask the Secretary of State for Education how many vacant primary school places there were in Birmingham, Hall Green constituency in each of the last five years for which figures are available.

The Department collects information from each local authority on the number of unfilled places in maintained primary schools (except special schools), via an annual survey. The following table shows the number of unfilled places in maintained primary schools and academies in Birmingham between 2007 and 2011, which is the most recent data available. The number of unfilled places are reported at local authority level and not broken down by constituency.
