To ask Her Majesty's Government what recent assessment they have made of the economic benefits of upgrading the single line railway between Salisbury and Exeter to double tracks over the whole of its length.

To ask Her Majesty's Government what recent assessment they have made of the social benefits of upgrading the single line railway between Salisbury and Exeter to double tracks over the whole of its length.

We have not made a recent assessment of the economic or social benefits of upgrading the Salisbury to Exeter line or doubling it along its whole length.
