The British Council's total grant spend on climate change programmes in 2010-11 was £5.4 million and in 2011-12 was £2.2 million. As a proportion of the British Council's total grant in aid this represents 2.8% in 2010-11 and 1.2% in 2011-12. In addition to its grant spend, the British Council secured £0.5 million and £1.0 million in partnership income for climate work in 2010-11 and 2011-12 respectively.
