To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what recent discussions her Department has had with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency on the sale of driver information to private companies; and if she will estimate the proportion of such sales that were related to the pursuit of motorists for parking and speeding fines incurred in other EU member states in each of the last five years.

Department for Transport and Driver Vehicle and Licensing Agency (DVLA) officials liaise closely on matters relating to the release of data from the DVLA's records.

The following table shows the percentage of requests for registered keeper details to pursue parking and speeding contraventions incurred in other EU member states as a proportion of all fee paying requests for keeper details.
