To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent assessment he has made of the UK's relationship with the Central African Republic; and if he will make a statement.

The UK has a limited but cordial bilateral relationship with the Central African Republic through our high commission in Cameroon. The British deputy high commissioner to Cameroon met the Central African Republic Foreign Minister Gambi in May in relation to an ongoing consular case. Our non-resident British ambassador hopes to present his credentials shortly.
