The Secretary of State for the Home Department, my right hon. Friend Mrs May, wrote to the Police Negotiating Board on 27 March 2012 to consult on a proposal for the long-term reform of police officer pensions. Both sides were asked to consider the proposal and respond by 22 June 2012 and we are now considering those responses.
