We do not envisage the involvement of the new Group in such matters. An Independent Expert Panel has been established to oversee the design and analysis of the data collection on the humaneness, effectiveness (in terms of badger removal) and safety of the two badger culling pilots in 2012. This expert panel will report to Ministers the findings of the pilots by the end of 2012.
