The AgResults initiative, launched at the G20 summit by the Prime Minister, provides economic incentives to private sector actors in smallholder agriculture in developing countries. The initiative will develop and ensure the uptake of innovative technologies with the potential to yield high development impacts. These innovative financing mechanisms will be relevant to smallholders in developing countries, including those in the Sahel. The first three pilots will take place in Africa, and will benefit maize producers in Nigeria, Kenya and Zambia.
