To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many applications for Tier 1 (post study work) visas made before the closure of that route in April 2012 are still being processed; and what proportion of such applications have not been processed within the 28 day standard.

Of all in-country applications received before the closure of the Tier 1 (post study work) route in April 2012, 17,000 are still being processed. We received over 14, 000 of these applications in March. Those outstanding have not been processed within 28 days.
