To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what the Government's policy is on the role of the Northern Ireland Grand Committee.

We believe that the Northern Ireland Grand Committee can play an important role in facilitating debate on Northern Ireland issues. For example, since May 2010 the Government has held Grand Committee debates on the implications for Northern Ireland of the comprehensive spending review and the big society agenda.
