To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what assessment his Department has made of the proportion of wind energy infrastructure manufactured in Britain.

DECC has not carried out an assessment of the proportion of wind energy infrastructure that is manufactured in Britain.

However, over the 2011-12 financial year industry announcements totalled £6.9 billion confirmed and planned investments in the UK renewables sector (including onshore and offshore wind) with the potential to support over 20,800 UK jobs.
