To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office with reference to the answer of 17 October 2011, Official Report, column 725W, on the Office for Civil Society: manpower, how many staff were working for the Office for Civil Society in May (a) 2010, (b) 2011 and (c) 2012; and if he will make a statement.

On 30 April 2010, there were 54 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff working on civil society projects in the Office of the Third Sector.

The Office for Civil Society (OCS) was created in June 2010 as part of the Efficiency and Reform Group (ERG).

In May 2011, OCS had an agreed headcount of 92 FTE. In May 2012, OCS has an agreed headcount of 88 FTE.
