Attorney-General written question – answered at on 11 June 2012.
To ask the Attorney-General how many drivers were prosecuted for making fraudulent insurance claims in the years (a) 1997, (b) 2002 and (c) 2011.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) does not maintain a central record of the number of drivers prosecuted for making fraudulent insurance claims. This information could be obtained only by examining all of the CPS’s case files, which would incur disproportionate cost.
