To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport what estimate he has made of the cost to an individual of purchasing a femtocell to benefit from his Mobile Infrastructure Project.

The Mobile Infrastructure Project is in the process of defining the areas worst affected by poor and non-existent mobile coverage, and the best means of addressing it in those areas. The role of femtocells in addressing coverage will become clearer through this process. Femtocells are currently commercially available at comparable prices to those for wireless internet routers.
